Examples of our Recent Criminal Defense Cases & Results
For the past 20 years, the Texas criminal defense lawyers of Grossman Law Offices have obtained favorable results for hundreds of clients. Below are some examples which illustrate the wide variety of criminal defense work that our firm practices.
Client Charged With Driving While Intoxicated
This case was a rather typical DWI case. The client had been drinking at a restaurant and a police office saw him driving in a manner he felt was consistent with intoxicated driving. A Breathalyzer test was performed which suggested that the defendant was over the legal limit. Some procedural mistakes were made by the officer which ultimately gave us grounds to challenge the evidence.
Result: Charges were reduced to obstruction of a roadway
Client Charged with Concealed Weapon
An avid hunter and outdoorsman allegedly neglected to remove a firearm from his person before entering a secure facility. He was arrested on felony weapons charges. After the prosecution's refusal to reach a plea agreement or reduce the charges, our attorneys represented the defendant in a 3-day jury trial and obtained a full acquittal.
Result: Jury verdict - Not Guilty
Client Charged with Felony Theft
Result: Charges reduced to Class A misdemeanor theft
Client Charged with Felony Child Endangerment
A daycare proprietor was arrested on charges of felony child endangerment. The client maintained her innocence throughout, and our attorneys ardently defended her and ensured that her rights were not infringed upon by what we felt was malicious prosecution.
Result: Charges were dismissed
Client Charged with Driving Under the Influence
A young man was driving home from a restaurant when he was pulled over while turning into his apartment complex. He was arrested and refused to consent to a field sobriety test. Sometime thereafter a judge issued a warrant and a blood sample was taken which showed a BAC of 0.07%. He was charged with driving while under the influence.
Result: Charges were dismissed
Client Charged with Felony Statutory Rape
A young man was charged with statutory rape due to a technical violation because of an age discrepancy which was not present at the beginning of the relationship that the defendant had with his consensual partner. Our attorneys argued against the validity of the charges, and obtained a favorable result for our client.
Result: Charges were dismissed
Client Charged with Class A Family Violence
Result: Charges were reduced to Class C simple assault
Client Charged with Solicitation of a Prostitute
A member of the clergy was arrested on grounds of solicitation of a prostitute while merely offering counsel to the young woman. Our attorneys defended him against these false accusations.
Result: Charges were dismissed
Client Charged with Domestic Violence
Result: Client was given a conditional dismissal
Client Charged with Minor in Possession of a Controlled Substance
The mother of a 17-year-old defendant hired Grossman Law Offices to defend her son regarding serious drug charges. Her primary concern was ensuring that her sons record would not be tarnished, therefore resulting in rejection from a university to which he had already been accepted.

Client Charged with Felony DWI / Child Endangerment
The prosecution had a strong case against the defendant, and they were pushing for 4 years in the penitentiary. Our attorneys were able to obtain a favorable result for our client.
